Adam Baker

Position: Associate Pastor

Greetings, and the peace of Christ to you!

My name is Adam Baker, and I love serving God alongside the good people of Wesley Memorial. Ours is a church prayerfully seeking opportunities to extend warmth, welcome, support, and hospitality to others, so whether you’re new to Wilmington or are simply looking for a new church home, we’d love to welcome you in the name of Jesus.

At Wesley Memorial, I enjoy participating in a variety of ministries, including preaching, teaching, and sharing Christ with others. My main focus, however, is upon providing pastoral care & support. If you’re in need of someone to listen to and hear you, pray for you, or otherwise support or encourage you, I’d be honored to meet and spend time with you. I visit and pray with people in their homes, the hospital, hospice, and elsewhere, and am blessed to work alongside an active, gifted team of Stephen Ministers, each trained to provide confidential, prayerful counsel & support if you’re in need of it. Basically, if you’re having a difficult time, come talk to me – I’d love you to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God cares deeply about you and what you’re going through.

I’m grateful to have been married, since 2000, to Jenn, and together, she and I are the parents of what we affectionately call “the Baker tribe,” a fun crew of kids that includes three girls, Eleanor, Adelaide, and Isla, and a boy named Duncan. We’re a family who loves to cook, eat, laugh, listen, pray, and spend time with others, and we’d love to get to know you and your story.

Again, Christ’s peace to you, and welcome to Wesley!

– Adam
