Eston Brinkley

Position: Facilities Manager

Both, my wife Annie and I are Wilmington natives.  We have a son, Eston, that is a senior at Isaac Bear early college.  Jessica, our daughter is in 8th grade at Holly Shelter Middle School.  Annie is a kindergarten teacher at Wrightsboro Elementary.

I have a long history here at Wesley Memorial.  I started attending Wesley in the early ‘80s and the church has been nothing but blessing to me and my family.  Here at Wesley I was involved in scouting, for a short time I was a youth group president, I was married by a Wesley pastor (Rodney Hamm), my children were baptised here, and when I had a stroke it was the people of Wesley who were the most supportive.

I have been a general contractor for the last fifteen years.  When the position of Facility Manager came up I jumped at the chance to contribute and give something back.  I’ll always be indebted to the church for the good will and love that I’ve gotten.  It is that love that drives me to the roof to look for leaks, to make the landscaping look inviting, to keep the buildings safe and clean, and to make optimal use of the church resources.  Clearly I’m blessed getting to work at a place I love with the best people.
