Allison Childs

Allison, who is a native Wilmingtonian, has served as the Church Secretary at Wesley Memorial since 2018. She is a graduate of UNCW (BA in History), enjoys sharing her love of the Port City’s history with other people, loves helping others, and discovering unique ways of conveying information. Allison seeks to celebrate every moment of her life and tries to bring that same enthusiasm to her work at the church. When not working, Allison enjoys spending time exploring historical sites and the beach with her husband, Scott, their son, Harrison, and their dog, Reilly.

Because I’ve experienced God’s love and generosity at Wesley Memorial, I’m joyful about the opportunity to share that same love and generosity, not only within these walls, but also within the community of Wilmington and beyond.

After moving to Wilmington, we wanted a church that had a good worship service, friendly members, and a strong youth program for both of our children… after visiting Wesley, our kids said, ‘This is it. This is the church for us. We don’t need to go anywhere else." We knew it was going to be our new church home.

We’ve spent more than twenty years of marriage searching for the right church home – we’ve found it at Wesley Memorial. The people are genuinely warm, and they will meet you wherever you are on your faith journey.
